WELCOME TO THE WOODS TARNROCK!

Respect for each other and mutual respect should at all have top priority. Who is not convenient with this, should leave at this point Wood Island immediately !!
Unfortunately we have to set up rules, although we all know that every place has almost the same rules, but not always act fairly to protect Gor.


GENERAL RULES:

A01
The Second Life TOS also apply to Wood Island as Wood Island is part of Second Life.

A02
There are only human avatars allowed and they must not look like children avatars and should have a minimum size 1.65 m, exceptions are Gorean animals or other creatures, they have to be adjusted with the SIM management. Please also consider that we live in a northern area.

A03
The common language on Wood Island is German. Foreign - language guests are asked to make themselves understood by a translator. We will try to talk to foreign visitors in their own language.
English ppls allowed but just with Translator

A04
The setting up of scanners, tracking tools or spyscripts, and griefing or spamming is forbidden in all the sim assemblage and will be punished accordingly.

A05
In general, an avatar should not stand around for a longer time AFK around the area . At longer absence of the keyboard, the avatar should be parked in a separate area away from the RP (house, cottage). In any case, the meter must be switched on AFK.

Exceptions can be confirmed or allowed only by the admin.


ROLEPLAY RULES:

R01
Ungorean limits as "No collaring, No haircutting, Sex" etc. have no business here and be ignored. Should you have such limits, just leave or better behave so that your limits are not touched. Gor is not a kindergarten. Despite extreme Roleplay is not for everyone, so before exceptional Roleplay please ask for limits of the other or have a look in the profile and the limits. A "STOP" is a Stop and should be accepted.

R02
To take part in the role-play, the current GM / Beast meter (eg Kurii) has to be worn. New players are welcome, we help everyone who wants to play with us. Do you want to just watch or explore the island, then alternate your meter to OOC or wear the Observer. Observer carriers have not to interfere with ongoing RP as they may disturb the RP significantly. Please ask questions via IM and not in open chat. The additional use of G & S system is left to each one themselves and volunteerly.

R03
OOC is to be refrained in an ongoing role play and only allowed with the permission of an admin. IM and / or group chat is to be used if there is something to clarify. If it is a group theme, then go all the OOC. We all want to play here, so stick to it!

R04
It should be important for everyone to keep a RP up and running and do not take every mistake as an opportunity to cancel an ongoing role play. An ongoing role play can be ended only by an admin because of severe breaking of the rules. For minor offenses, the role play is played out and disputes are resloved at the end. Use your common sense and remember that all want to have fun here. OOC insults will not be tolerated here, and immediately punished with a warning.

R05
There is no one forced on Wood Island to permanently assume a role that he or she does not want to take. But everyone must be aware that this can happen at times when being a prisoner.

R06
In RPG on Wood Island, the wearing Gorean clothes is a duty (also for visitors). Here everything is basically permitted, which is possible in the books of John Norman. The clothes must be in line with the role in Gor RPG. Again, considering that here temperate climate prevails, which sometimes can be very rough.

R07
Basically Wood Island is a Combat Zone, where the role play has to go on before a fight and a fight may not be begun without RPing first, except of raids !!! The exception is the ship of Wood Island, this is a safe zone upon arrival. After leaving the ship, also the port area becomes a combat zone.
If someone flees to the ship during the battle, a return to fighting is permitted only after 30 min.

R08
Kill on Wood Island requires the approval of an admin. Furthermore, it must be preceded at least a RP for 30 minutes before the kill. There must be a reason for the kill. Nevertheless, one should always be careful that a RP should always enrich both sides.
Kill orders through the Black Caste shall be demonstrated by presenting the logs.

R09
The GM meters should be reset only with the permission of an admin. However, should it be reset nevertheless - without the permission of an admin – the player will be banned from the sim for 1 day.

R10
The use of Linden $ is prohibited in RP, whoever uses G & S should use the corresponding currency (Tarsk, copper Tarks, Silver and Gold Tarks tarsk).

R11
Lockpicking should always be shouted. Should there be an intrusion, when a camp (Camp) or the village is not busy, so an NC is to leave for one of the admins, so that they can then be passed on if required. If this is not the case, there will be a warning and then, if repeated, a ban for the failure to observe the rules.


Combat and CAPTIVITY RULES:

K01
Customize your weapons to your role and use only on Wood Island approved weapons. A list you'll find at the end of this NC. In addition, you can use scaling ladders, ropes and grappling hooks with climbing animation. Ropes and grappling hooks with teleporters are not allowed on Wood Island. Weapons with scripts that target or aim automatically, are unrealistic and prohibited on Wood Island. A double use of weapons or 2 weapons at once are not allowed.
Not permitted are:
Rifles and pistols, lasers, futuristic and magical weapons, katanas, restriking destructive weapons (such as poison arrows), flaming arrows, exploding arrows, hinged arms (networks, frames, etc.), hybrid weapons (melee and throwing), push / pull Weapons, Double damage, super jumps and spacebarring and weapons that would give an unfair advantage.

K02
Only through the port in Wood Island you can intervene into the action and have to walk from there. It is forbidden to teleport into a fight inside. That would be unrealistic and a sudden appearance of avatars is very difficult to explain too. Should you find yourself in a fight when logging in, then place your fmeter on OOC or emote that you e.g. were asleep and awoke briskly through the noise.

K03
Every fight on Wood Island is also RP, therefore in addition to the use of your weapon everything must be described in RP too. The use of multiple weapons simultaneously is prohibited and will be punished by a warning. Aiding (aiding / bandiging) must be emoted wit at least 3 sentences and binding with at least 3 sentences. Also dragging and reapplication of a weapon must be emoted. Do you want to arrest someone after a victory in the RPG, you need to describe (searching through, taking off weapons) every step.

K04
Superhuman jumps, drop-offs and walls run up and climbing over mountains are not allowed on Wood Island. Furthermore, TPing in and out is not allowed onWood Island. If you do, you have to expect a ban for 3 days.

K05
Cries for help via IM are not allowed. Furthermore animals to communicate messages on Gor are unknown and are therefore playing off IC.

K06
A prisoner on Wood Island may take up to 3 days, no matter what is the limit in the profile. The prisoner may previously not reasonless cancel the RP without corresponding RP. Is a prisoner brought in a camp, castle or town, relief actions are allowed only after the expiration of 3 hours. It is not realistic that after minutes help is in front of goal. A prisoner can be enslaved forcibly, after three days the prisoner must be given the opportunity to escape in RP. If it is otherwise agreed in OOC, it can be played without any time limit. But it is not enough simply to terminate someone for 3 days in a cell !! Is the prisoner half an hour without RP, s/he can automatically cancel this (breaks can be arranged by OOC).

K07
Captivities are a part of the role play on Gor. There is no shame in being caught once. On Wood Island we play the captivities according to the American originals of Norman`s books, i.e. Prisoners are not touched here with kid gloves. If you want to exclude sex-RP, you should tell this to the winner at the capture via IM.

K08
Prisoners may be taken away only on the ship in the port of the island. A direct teleport to another SIM is prohibited and does not have to be accepted by the prisoners. Should there only be present on one (s) Free (r), one hunter or one slave / slave, so the capture or taking away needs to be clarified in IM in advance.

K09
Even unbinding during an ongoing struggle is prohibited. After a fight you have to remain min. 10 minutes in the state shackled and then emote with three sentences your unleashing.

K10
Group fights are all fightings with a minimum of 6 or more participants (except there is a 1: 1 ratio without slaves and slaves). A group should only attack only at a ratio of 1 to 2, while slaves are not counted. At higher ratio, all huntresses may not be taken, so that at least one can organize the relief or trade. Non-stop attacking the same group is prohibited. Between these types of attacks is min. 3 hour break to be ( e.g. for a restart of the sim). During this time, negotiations and rescue are not allowed. Give the prisoner the opportunity to RP. Both sides can agree on an arbitrator, whose decision is final. Without referee in disputes an Admin of Wood Island decides.
Captures are allowed at rescues. If after a raid rescue by combat isn`t possible, it should be designed that either a trade or a sale is taking place IC.

K11
Towers, Balista, catapults, trebuchets and similar heavy siege equipment can be difficultly transported by ship and therefore they are not allowed on Wood Island.
Should projects like sieges or the like be planned, then please arrange shortly before with an Admin, then such devices are allowed except towers.

K12
Putting up Grappel or Ropes must be called out loudly and with 3 emotes.
No T-grapples are tolerated.

K13

Female Slaves (kajira/bond) and male slaves (kajirus/thrall) may use weapons for defense or attack against frees at raids or rescues (and only then). Female and male slaves may be used for aiding and binding. Female slaves are only allowed to use typical slave weapons, as slingshot, blowgun or hair pins (19%). Male slaves may additionally use a bow and melee (55% max.), but only on this sim.
Remember: If a female or male slave is found to use a weapon against frees besides raids or rescues, s/he me be killed immediately without further discussion, according to the books of Norman.

K14
The crossing of water can only be by swimming because to go through deep moats is not realistic and declared invalid.
This applies to the side of the attackers and the attacked.

K15
If a group, which consists of more than 2 different groups, attacks, only the main group (Main Group) may take prisoners. Supporting raiders may take no prisoners with to their home or elsewhere.

K16
Rescue actions (rescue by battle or trade) are only permitted if the person concerned are present at this time. If a rescue operation is done without attendees in the camp, this will not be accepted.


DEATH IN THE ROLE PLAY:

Caveat: A Gorean doesn`t kill lightly, his highest value is life!

T01
A death in the role play or fight causes exclusion of 2 days (48 hours) from the RP and suicide five days. A death RP must be preceded by a RP of at least 30 minutes. To be valid, the sim management hast o be sent a message with reason and sequence of the death RP with the name of the dead man and the performer. A kill without reason will not be tolerated on Wood Island. Causeless killing or dying contradicts the sense of teh sim compound and is not permitted.


Kuri on Wood Island:

U01
Since Wood Iceland is in a temperate zone, it can sometimes happen that even a Kur gets lost here. Kurii are not allowed to reset their meter at a lost sword fighting on Wood Island and can also be defeated by a small group of at least two people. They may only reset their meter at an attack solely done by bows up to 3 times.

U02
A raid by Kurii should be subscribed to the present admin. Pure presence by a Kur (z. B. scouting) must not be subscribed. However, the Kur should prepare a plausible backstory how he got here.

U03
If people on Wood Island remain calm and not take up arms, the Kuri must not attack.

U04
Being dragged away away by a Kur from this SIM must be discussed with the prisoners by OOC.
In all conflicts the admins of Wood Island decide finally. After admin decision any discussion in open chat is to be ended and role-play hast o go on.
